"Our spacecraft, the Starlight Explorer, is ready for launch! I've upgraded the solar collectors and navigation systems."
"I've been studying the few Lumina language samples we have. I hope I can communicate with the inhabitants when we arrive!"
Narrator:
With a thunderous roar, the Starlight Explorer lifted off from Earth. The crew watched as their blue planet grew smaller, replaced by the endless starry expanse of space. After several days of travel, Planet Lumina appeared in the viewport—a beautiful world with shimmering silver oceans and crystal mountains.
"The planet's crystalline structure is incredible! It seems to naturally absorb and store stellar energy. But something's wrong—the absorption rate is only at 15% of capacity!"
"Landing in 3... 2... 1... Touchdown! We've successfully landed in the Crystal Valley of Lumina!"
Narrator:
As the crew exited their spacecraft, they were greeted by the Lumina inhabitants—gentle, glowing beings made of crystalline energy. The Lumina communicated through light patterns and soft chiming sounds. Their city, once brilliant with internal light, now flickered weakly.
"I think I understand them! They're saying a 'dark cloud' has formed around their suns, blocking the energy. They call it the 'Shadow Veil.'"

The Lumina elder communicated: "The Shadow Veil appeared two cycles ago. It absorbs the light from our twin suns. Our energy crystals grow dark, and our city dims."

"If the Shadow Veil absorbs light, we need to hit it with something it can't absorb. What about concentrated sound waves? Or maybe we can create a resonance frequency that disrupts it!"
